Products, Blogs & Rss Feeds
The world is filled with choice these days. So many products available for our growth and evolution as well making our lives more enjoyable, so many blogs and podcasts are on offer that it is difficult to find the time to search for the best and then to choose which might be right for you.
As I come across things that I like, I list them here with my comments so that your life can be a bit easier. Keep checking back because my list is always being up-dated as the world changes!
Products
If you are looking for cutting edge books and audio products
about human growth and evolution, you can't do much better
than this site. Of course I'm biased. As a co-founder
of the WEL-Systems® Institute I was intimately involved
with the development of many of them. Be advised that you should
only engage this material if you want to achieve significant
change in your life. Even though I am no longer involved directly
with the Institute, I continue to use a WEL-Systems perspective
in all that I do and regularly refer those clients whom I know
are seeking more to these pages.

This is an elegant site selling elegant products such as journals,
pens, and giftware. I've been purchasing their journals
for years now and have always been pleased with what they have
to offer and the service I've received. If you are looking
for high quality writing products from Italy, France and Asia,
your search has ended.

If you have a 'crafty' side, you will enjoy this
site filled with supplies for scrapbooking, card making, etc.
These folks helped me out of a bind a while back when I was
desperately seeking a specialized kind of scrapbook for use
in a workshop. Their service was excellent.

Another website offered by a friend of mine. Franziska's
site will delight you with wonderful photographs and art. You
can purchase cards, photography services or even book a reconnective
healing appointment with this multi-faceted woman!

I absolutely love this site! It contains page after page of
textured tiles that you can use as wallpaper and backgrounds
in your documents and on your website. Sometimes I just go
to look at the wonderous array of textures and colours ...it
must be the artist in me!

Another fun site, I've found this one useful for selecting
buttons, tags, etc. for illustrating websites. The person who
runs it clearly cares and takes great pride in what she produces.
Still lots of free stuff and no annoying advertising, pop-ups,
etc.

I use this free teleconference service all the time when I
need to create a teleclass or communicate with many clients
at one time. It is also great for family members wanting to
get together to chat when they live apart. Each person pays
their own long distance so total costs are modest. Easy to
use. All instructions are on-line.

Blogs
For those of you who haven't discovered blogs yet, they are like on-line journals. Some are all text, some include photos, art and other illustrations. Some also include sound and video files. The term 'blog' is short for web-log. There are now many places you can go where you are offered a number of templates you can select from and then register yourself and begin posting your own thoughts hourly, daily, weekly about whatever topic interests you. It is not unusual for some people to have several different blogs, each one focused on a specific topic. I've organized my suggested blogs into categories that are pretty self explanatory.
About Life
Interesting musings about some of the larger issues in life
such as happiness, identity, etc.

About Retirement
My initial blog exploring my thoughts and questions regarding the retirement I personally plan to never have! This blog seemed to give up the ghost on November 23, 2006, not allowing me to input any further postings. I think it is still valuable for those of you thinking about retirement so I've kept it listed here even though it no longer contains my current postings.
www.edgingtowardsretirement.blogspot.com
My new retirement blog can be found at www.allaboutretirement.wordpress.com. You'll perhaps notice that the title is more inclusive than the original one was. Chalk it up to learning. I was beginning to discover that what I wanted to chat about didn't always fall nicely under the "edging towards" heading. Is it possible that I created the end to that blog's functioning so that I'd have to start a new one that more appropriately reflects where my interests have evolved to? Some might believe so! In any case, please feel free to join me for whatever thoughts and curiosities related to retirement that are occupying me at any given time. Who knows, I might even invite some guest contributors to add to the discourse.
This is an extensive and interesting blog about the future
of work, with a little bit about the retirement conversation.
This blog would be of interest to those who have interests
in workplace trends and HR issues.

Another Canadian retirement coach's blog containing
interesting facts, articles and information.

Targeted at an American audience, if you are willing to move
past all the hard sell items, this blog contains some interesting
information. Who knows, perhaps all the materials this retirement
coach offers may be of interest and use to you.

Doesn't seem like an extensive blog, but this item talks
about one woman's approach to staying fit in retirement
by using her two feet.

Two geezers share some thoughts about retirement.
http://www.becker-posner-blog.com/archives/2005/06/comment_on_reti.html
I'm still not entirely certain what the purpose of this
blog/site is, but it feels like the guy who offers it is genuinely
interested in helping people explore the conversation about
retirement. Be forewarned, there's lots and lots of selling
happening mixed in with the good stuff!

About Creativity
This blog will be of interest to corporate types, especially
those with an interest in the human side of change, OD or HR.
As someone who has turned away from OD work, I think Mark is
an inspiration to anyone still in the disclipline!
http://markdowds.typepad.com/weblog/2006/08/creativity_and_.html
A blog that will appeal to writers, this blog has some interesting
approaches to stimulating creativity as an on-going process
of discovery.

This blog appears to explore many dimensions of the creativity
conversation and is sure to stimulate your thinking.
